Slot Machine Prototypes and QA

Slot

A slot is a narrow opening, especially in a machine for accepting something, such as a coin or letter. It can also refer to a position in a group, series, sequence, or hierarchy.

In computing, a slot (defination) is a reserved place for an operation in a computer program. A slot is associated with a specific data path and a specific execution unit (FU). The term can be used to describe either the place in a pipeline where an operation will be executed or the relationship between the placement of an operation and its execution unit.

Once your art and wireframes are finished, it is time to build a prototype of your slot game. Creating a prototype, or minimum viable product (MVP), will allow you to showcase your slot game concept and identify potential issues before beginning full development. After your prototype is complete, it is important to test and QA your slot game. Thorough testing and QA will help you detect and eliminate bugs and glitches before they are released into the market. The unit tests your slot developers create will determine if individual components work as intended. Once these tests are completed, your team will integrate the component and test them as a whole system. Lastly, your users will play the slot game to test functionality and user acceptance. Ultimately, thorough testing and QA will result in a high-quality slot game.
